Dr. Robert Straubinger, CEO
Dr. Robert Straubinger provides strategic direction for AppliedSensor's global operations and offers technical insight to the company's Field Effect and MOS/QMB operations in Sweden and Germany. Prior to taking the helm in 2005, he was a management consultant with TCN Technology Consulting and Networking and CEO of Plan + Design Netcare AG. Dr. Straubinger began his career in 1980 at the HORMANN Group of Companies in Germany, where he served as managing director of several of the company's units. Dr. Straubinger holds a degree in Physics from the University of Munich and a Ph.D. in Quantum Optics from the Max-Planch-Institut in Garching/Munich.

Henrik Kennas, CFO
Henrik Kennas is responsible for global financial and administrative operations, human resources, and information technology. He joined AppliedSensor's executive management team in 1998. Before joining the company, Mr. Kennas was the financial director of A Kraft AB. Previously, he worked with commercial customers at Ostgota Enskilda Bank, where he specialized in start-up and high-tech companies. Mr. Kennas holds a Masters Degree in Management and Industrial Engineering, specializing in Finance and Marketing, from Linkopings University.
Technology
Miodrag Kosovic
Miodrag Kosovic leverages his strong data and communications background and his international project management and product implementation experience to develop new Field Effect sensor products and applications. Prior to joining AppliedSensor in 2003, Mr. Kosovic was a technical manager with Nokia in Linköping Sweden, where he managed a team of nearly 200 developers - both internal and external. Mr. Kosovic holds the designation of International Trade Specialist from the Swedish Trade Council. He also holds a B.S. in Physics from Belgrade University, and a Masters (MSc) Degree in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from the Linköping Institute of Technology, Sweden.
Heiko Ulmer
Dr. Heiko Ulmer applies his deep knowledge and experience in sensor technology to innovate new MOS and QMB products and applications. An industry pioneer and one of the original developers of modern sensor technology, Dr.Ulmer co-founded MoTech in 1999 to produce sensor-based analytical instruments and devices. One year later, MoTech merged with Nordic Sensor Technologies to form AppliedSensor, thus pooling the expertise of dedicated sensor experts. Mr. Ulmer earned his diploma in Chemistry and his Ph.D. under the direction of Professor W. Gopel at the University of Tubingen, where he worked in the field of chemical gas sensors and electronic noses.
Global Business Development
Thomas Aiken
Thomas Aiken is responsible for AppliedSensor's global sales, marketing and business development. An industry veteran with extensive marketing experience in microelectronic chemical sensors, energy and chemical industries, he establishes strategic alliances, builds partner relationships, and designs and implements plans for AppliedSensor's continued worldwide expansion. Prior to joining AppliedSensor in 2000, Mr. Aiken held management and director positions at Fisher Scientific, Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, Exxon, and Ralston Purina. He earned a B.S. in Physiology and an M.S. in Animal Science from the University of Illinois, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from Washington University.
